The Honest Guide to Birth Control Without the Pill

Every non-hormonal option, with the real numbers — including the ones nobody puts on the box.

Most birth control comparisons are either sales copy or scare copy. This one leads with typical-use failure rates for every method, tells you which ones are genuinely reliable without hormones, and is honest about where fertility awareness does and doesn’t hold up.

The copper IUD is the only non-hormonal method that performs in the same tier as the implant and the hormonal IUD (<1% typical use). That is the trade-off, stated plainly; it is not an argument for or against anything.
