Am I Ovulating?

A self-assessment, with every sign ranked by how much you should trust it.

Ovulation is the engine of your entire cycle — and most women have no idea whether theirs is running. Ten minutes and this checklist will tell you where you stand, and what to do if the answer is “probably not.”

The single best sign that you ovulated is a blood progesterone level drawn about seven days before your expected period — anything above roughly 6 ng/mL means a normally functioning corpus luteum. Everything else, from temperature to strips to cervical mucus, is either predicting ovulation or supporting the picture. Score yourself against the ranked signs below, then compare three cycles before drawing a conclusion.
