A letter from the founder

Dear everyone who has ever braced for their period,

As an Ob/Gyn, I have spent my career watching women and girls lose days to pain, miss school and work, and be told that severe symptoms are simply something they must learn to live with. Too often, care starts after pain has taken over — after bleeding has disrupted a week, or after someone has spent years wondering whether what she feels is just the price of having a period.

That gap — between when symptoms begin and when medicine responds — is why I founded Wave Bye. I wanted to build a different kind of company: one with enough focus to take this seriously, enough rigor to make sense of it, and enough directness to say what period pain actually is. A company where you don't need the perfect words or a diagnosis in hand to be believed.

Period pain should not decide what someone is capable of. That conviction has shaped everything about how Wave Bye works — and it's the reason our products are proactive rather than reactive. We don't want you to rescue the worst day; we want you to have more days that were never interrupted in the first place.

The goal is not simply fewer symptoms. It is more life — more mornings you keep, more plans you make, more of the person you are on the days your body works with you.

I cannot promise a perfect product or a perfect cycle. I can promise that you will not be left to manage this alone — and that everything we make is built with the evidence and the humanity this deserves.

Warmly,

The work

A clinician who spent over a decade studying when care goes wrong.

Dr. Harrison brings more than fifteen years of experience leading clinical teams and eleven years of clinical research to Wave Bye — and the conviction that a careful history is a central diagnostic tool, not a courtesy.

The gap she saw

In years of clinical work, she watched care start too late — after pain had taken over, after bleeding had disrupted a week, or after someone had spent years wondering whether what she feels is simply something to tolerate.

The conviction that shaped her

Period pain should not decide what someone is capable of. That conviction led her to build Wave Bye: a proactive, physician-led period-care company that starts before your period, not after the pain.

Why Wave Bye

Wave Bye is the product of that work: enough focus to take period pain seriously, enough rigor to make sense of it, and enough directness to say what's known and what's not.

From the founder
"It is totally unacceptable that women suffer so significantly through their periods, on repeat, for up to a decade of their lives, which is why I founded Wave Bye. Wave is here first and foremost to give women back their time so they can do the things they want to do."
