Impact of NSAIDs on cramps
NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) are a type of medicine used for pain and swelling. Period cramps are basically pain and swelling of the uterus -- which is likely why meclophenamate (an NSAID) improves cramp strength so much. (This was studied in 1987 and show in this graph.) Naproxen (Bye Bad Cramps) is an NSAID and produces similar effects on cramps...which is why Bye Bad Cramps is so effective.
